Isaiah 53:3-5
3 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows,
and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was
despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our
sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was
crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed.

2 Cor 10:4-5
4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the

itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to
make it obedient to Christ.

Mark 5:21-34
21 When Jesus had again crossed over by boat to the other
side of the lake, a large crowd gathered around him while he was by the lake.
22 Then one of the synagogue rulers, named Jairus, came
there. Seeing Jesus, he fell at his feet
23 and pleaded earnestly with him, "My little daughter is
dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and
live."
24 So Jesus went with him. A large crowd followed and
pressed around him.
25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding
for twelve years.
26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many
doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse.
27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in
the crowd and touched his cloak,
28 because she thought, "If I just touch his clothes, I
will be healed."
29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her
body that she was freed from her suffering.
30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from
him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, "Who touched my clothes?"
31 "You see the people crowding against you," his
disciples answered, "and yet you can ask, 'Who touched me?'"
32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it.
33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came
and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth.
34 He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you.
Go in peace and be freed from your suffering."

Luke 8:41-56
41 Then a man named Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue, came
and fell at Jesus' feet, pleading with him to come to his house
42 because his only daughter, a girl of about twelve, was
dying. As Jesus was on his way, the crowds almost crushed him.
43 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding
for twelve years, but no one could heal her.
44 She came up behind him and touched the edge of his
cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.
45 "Who touched me?" Jesus asked. When they all denied it,
Peter said, "Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you."
46 But Jesus said, "Someone touched me; I know that power
has gone out from me."
47 Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed,
came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told
why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed.
48 Then he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed
you. Go in peace."
49 While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the
house of Jairus, the synagogue ruler. "Your daughter is dead," he said. "Don't
bother the teacher any more."
50 Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, "Don't be afraid;
just believe, and she will be healed."
51 When he arrived at the house of Jairus, he did not let
anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James, and the child's father and
mother.
52 Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for
her. "Stop wailing," Jesus said. "She is not dead but asleep."
53 They laughed at him, knowing that she was dead.
54 But he took her by the hand and said, "My child, get
up!"
55 Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. Then
Jesus told them to give her something to eat.
56 Her parents were astonished, but he ordered them not to
tell anyone what had happened.

brother John;
3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax
collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;
4 Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.
5 These twelve Jesus sent out with the following
instructions: "Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans.
6 Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel.

8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have
leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

1 John 5:11-15
11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal
life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the
Son of God does not have life.
13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of
the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that
if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
15 And if we know that he hears us-whatever we ask-we know
that we have what we asked of him.

James 1:1-8
1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To
the twelve tribes scattered among the nations: Greetings.
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face
trials of many kinds,
3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops
perseverance.
4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be
mature and complete, not lacking anything.
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives
generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because
he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
7 That man should not think he will receive anything from
the Lord;
8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer,
believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
